Groupe Lacasse Furniture Show 2019

I never knew that I was a furniture geek until I attended the furniture showcase by Groupe Lacasse. It was held on Monday, June 10th at Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago. It was quite fascinating to see and interact with hundreds of people there. Other than Group Lacasse, there were plenty of different companies who showcased their products such as paint and rug samples, mini models of offices and desired rooms, couches, tables, chairs, etc.

Group Lacasse had the biggest showcase which looked quite incredible. They had different areas made for different purposes. These areas can be incorporated by companies and in offices to make work culture more positive and engaging. The images below show different spaces dedicated to these purposes called the Idea Corner, Connected Healthcare, Collective Thinking and Conversation Hub.

Groupe Lacasse chose us, Amazing Edibles, as their desired caterer for this grand showcase. The overall food theme was Mexican Food Truck and we passed several mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres. The cold dishes included tuna ceviche cups with citrus juice pipettes, esquites, spicy tequila shrimp skewers and colorful lobster tacos. On the other hand, the hot dishes were no less. We served short rib & manchego empanadas topped with chipotle crema, carne asada nachos and goat cheese & poblano relleno wontons with tomatillo salsa. Finally, for dessert (because we always have some space for dessert!), we served some delicious churros topped with cinnamon sugar and Mexican chocolate sauce. YUM!
