DINNER SILHOUETTE: The Sniffer

The Sniffer Glass

The Sniffer is for tastes without the tongue, tangible smells, quaffed to tingle curious senses. The rounded fat bottom contours into a narrow rim. While the Sniffer takes its name off its primary function, this clever glass exemplifies all the senses with just one glass: the sound of the drink pouring in, watching as it swirls around, the palm warming the liquid within, evaporating and funneling up the glass to tickle the nose and tingle your taste buds.

The Sniffer analyzes all, takes its time with precision to savor all that it encounters. It prefers aged liquors for their complexity that matches their own. Nothing can throw this glass off-guard - as even as it lays at its side, its contents remain.

Some foods that also smell heavenly are onions sautéed in butter, hot garlic bread right out of the oven, wine-braised short ribs, and of course, fresh chocolate chip cookies.
